Autumn is here but the weather is a bit confused
We are quite glad the Hot days of summer are over and the cool days of Autumn have arrived. Meredith is ready to bake and Philip is ready to eat all of the yummy creations as the Chief Taste Tester.
Jonathan had a birthday and has moved up to a super cool 9 years old. His most awesome gift of a Rip Stik dialed down from a skateboard reins as way cool. He is now playing basketball and loving it.
Sareh had a super birthday with famous new words of "Chocolate Cake". Sareh is now a big 3 and dressed up as Tigger for Halloween. She actually went to a few houses to say Trick or Treat but once again she had more fun handing out candy so she could say Trick or Treat as the kids came to the door. Now she is quite upset that the leaves are falling off the trees because it is so messy. Ha Ha! We put up the lights outside the house right before Thanksgiving and Sareh said they are so beautiful. However the highlight of the holiday so far has been decorating the tree. Sareh is very concerned though that we still don't have the whole tree decorated and where is our star? She says Merry Christmas just about every day and constantly wants to sing Christmas Music before she goes to bed. Jonathan of course is counting down the days to Christmas break. Both Jonathan and Sareh are both counting down to Santa visiting.
Sareh is quite concerned about writing a letter to Santa however she hasn't quite figured out what should go in the letter other than "See you soon".  Ha ha! Mommy and Sareh both are wishing for snow but of course Daddy is perfectly happy with the warmer weather we have been enjoying. Lots of new pictures are posted and new videos.

Summer is ending say goodbye to Watermelon
Sareh has enjoyed her fair share of summer's best: watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, cantelope, corn on the cob, grilled hot dogs, and with her first taste of smores (she said "more please"). It is hard to believe Sareh will be 3 in just 2 months my how the year has gone by fast. Sareh still loves music and dancing. We have posted some cute videos of Sareh dancing with Daddy. Sareh loves to sing in church and shakes everyones hands to give the sign of Peace. Puzzels and books are still two of her favorite things aside from hats. Jonathan is in the 3rd grade this year and so far is enjoying school. He still loves Star Wars, and playing Super Spy with his friends. Of course when he plays with Sareh he tries to teach her how to be a good "Spy" by hiding well. Philip and I are getting ready to pull in the last of our gardens harvest which will end with carrots again this year. We can't hardly wait for the cooler fall weather to sweep away these hot hazy days.

April showers, Hail storms and Tornados
Spring is here the garden is underway and flowers are in bloom. Big News** Sareh is now in a big girl bed and is doing great. See pics of her in the new bed. Sareh and Jonathan are growing like weeds both of them will pass me up soon. Sareh loves music more everyday. Playing on her little pink keyboard, singing, or dancing this girl loves music. Philip is currently trying to catch her antics on video so far technical glitches killed 2 videos. We will keep trying and post them on the website. Jonathan is all about riding bikes, playing Star Wars, and beating me at the Lego Wii games. Philip and I are in full Spring clean mode and trying to get things more organized.

Snowflakes and Toe Socks!
Winter is the best time of the year when the house smells of yummy baked goods.  Pies, cookies and bread oh my! Philip was a big help with baking cookies this year. I'm sure he took a page from Jonathan's book for he that helps also is the first to taste. Sareh had her first big girl Christmas which was very funny. She opened her presents slowly and very methodically. As each present was unwrapped she would comment either yeah, wow, or oh and then ask open? Jonathan opened his gifts like a good 8 yr old with speed and accuracy with the comments of WOW and COOL! He was very helpful passing out gifts and helping Sareh open her gifts. We visited with GrandDad Phil where Sareh was sitting in his chair and getting him to read her stories. We also visited with Uncle Frank and the kids had great fun visiting with him. Jonathan loved that Uncle Frank talked to him cause you know not all adults talks to kids. (We thought that was pretty cute.) Sareh picks up more words every day and constanlty amazes us. TinkerBell and Blue are still tops in her world but Buzz Lightyear is right in there on top. New family pics will soon be here and hopefully get them out to everyone ASAP. Stay warm and Love to all in the New Year.

Sareh is 2 years old and Fall is upon us
Sareh is 2 years old and Jonathan is now the big 8.  Fall is here and we are so happy the days have turned cooler.  For our house cooler days lead to smells of warm goodies baking.  Sareh has grown so much this year but she hasn't grown out of her love for hats!  The girl is all about hats and purses.  Sareh has 2 new loves which are all things Blues Clues and Tinker Bell.  Jonathan is growing so fast even though we keep asking him to slow down. HA HA! Jonathan loves reading mysteries and pretending that he is a Super Spy.  He is in 2nd grade this year and doing very well.  Sareh loves her Buba and Jonathan thinks it is cool that she actually says real words now. We are very thankful that this year we are ending with good health especially for Sareh.

Philip and I just want to wish all of our friends and family a very Happy Thanksgiving!  We are so thankful that all of you are apart of our lives. God Blesssings to you all.

Summertime...Summertime!
HOT! HOT! Dog days of summer and we have never prayed so hard for rain. Our garden project has been very good to us. We will have lots of goods eats from butternut squash, sweet relish, tomato sauce, green beans, summer squash, and pumpkin. Meredith has steamed, frozen, canned, and preserved lots of goodies for the winter. I do so feel like a squirrel putting away stores. Ha! Our summer was super fun with many great adventures! Check out all of our Summer Pics in the new folder "Summer". Jonathan was back again this summer for more fun. He taught Sareh how to be a super spy! He was so proud of teaching her. Sareh now loves to enlist anyone in her spy game. Our friends the Wilson Family came to visit with us for Memorial Day Weekend and boy did we ever have fun. We visited with our family from California and had a blast at the Valley house over the 4th. Then we were back at the Valley house with our family from Maryland. Spent a lot of time panning for rubies, picking blueberries, and Sareh loved the cold water in the river. Hard to believe that Sareh is now 22 months old and her 2nd birthday is just around the corner. She is growing so quickly and is most certainly her own little person now. She loves veggies and doesn't care for barbecue. Most pictures you will see her posing she is quite the little ham. Also most of her pics have her wearing a hat, carrying a purse, or holding a baby/stuffed animal.

Spring at the Gwynn house!
Spring has sprung at the Gwynn house with new flowers and bushes.  Philip and Jonathan have built raised beds for the organic veggies we will raise this year.  Jonathan was up to visit with us for his spring break and we were lucky to get a new family pic.  Jonathan and Sareh are both growing so fast.  Sareh now has molars so we are almost done with teething.  Jonathan is reading chapter books and doing very well in school.  Sareh is going everywhere these days and has only recently learned to climb up on the step stool however she still isn't sure about the whole getting down part yet.  Jonathan loves doing anything to make Sareh laugh.  Sareh does have a very funny laugh.  Check out all the new pics and there are a ton.

Sareh is 11 months old
The summer is over and fall is just around the corner.  Time has flown by fast.  It sure does seem like it was just yesterday that Philip and I were waiting for Sareh's birth.  Now Sareh is 11 months old now and has grown so much.  She has two new teeth on the bottom so that is a grand total of 8 teeth.  She is eating mostly table food these days.  So far she loves mashed potatoes, rice, pancakes, banans, and applesauce.  Walking is all Sareh is interested in these days.  She holds onto anything that will help her navigate around the living room.  We are learning quicly that Sareh has a long reach.  Sareh likes anything to do with music which always turns any frown into a smile.  Bathtime is one of her favorite activities especially now that she has learned splashing.  Philip has posted some new pictures where everyone can see how much Sareh has grown.  Sareh now talks non-stop these days saying Mom, Dad, Bye, Hi, Moo, Nana, Papa and she knows a good number of signs as well.  Sareh can sign eat, more, milk, all done, and drink.  Whenever we go out Sareh waves at everyone she sees and she is most animated when she sees other children.  No matter where we go Sareh always seems to bring a smile to all the faces that she meets.

Jonathan's visit and Sareh is almost 9 months old!
Originally Jonathan was only going to be able to come visit for two weeks (which would have been the longest he had ever visited us)  But midway through the visit we were able to talk his mother into letting him stay an additional two weeks!
While he was up we were able to get him to the dentist (got two cavities filled) and to the eye doctor where he picked out his first pair of glasses.  Very strange child we went into the office with him begging to get glasses, well he got his wish!  He looks very good with his new eyewear!
Other highlights of his visit were learning to tie his shoes, working on his reading/spelling workbooks, learning to make scrambled eggs and trying shrimp for the first time.
We all had a great time and will miss having him around.  Sareh looks around trying to find him every morning during breakfast for him while saying "buh, buh, buh, buh, buh..." which is what she got out of us trying to teach her to say "brother"
Sareh is determined to walk, and has no interest in crawling.  She doesn't pull up on anything yet, but wants to go for "walks" all the time.  She seems to think she can go it alone as she is constantly trying to let go of our hands...and pretty quickly falls on her behind.
We lost our camera around the time Sareh got baptised, so the only new photos are in the Latest Photos from when went to Studio One.

Happy Spring
Sareh is now 5 months old and she has grown so much.  Just when we thought much needed sleep would be coming our way Sareh has started teething.  Our very happy baby in the morning turns into a pitiful crying ball of drool at night.

We have decided that Sareh must take after her Daddy because she now weighs over 17 pounds and is 25 inches long which puts her in 6-9 months clothes.  Mommy is just hoping that she doesn't pass me by in height before she is 8.  We will post more details after Sareh's 6 month checkup.

More pictures of Sareh are posted as we get them.  We have also started a new library which we are working for videos of Sareh which chronicle such things as finding her feet and her first meals.

We are still scanning in family photos and adding those to the family archive.
